NAME: Feoh
NUMBER: 1
SOUND: F
COLOR: Brown
ORIGIN: Hallristingnor carvings
CARVED:
Feoh is carved by starting at the upper right-hand side
and carving the diagonal down and to the left, then the lower diagonal up and to
the right. Then the Vertical stroke is carved from the bottom to the top.
COLORED:
When colored brown, the vertical stroke is colored from bottom
to top. Then the lower diagonal is carved down and to the left until it meets
the vertical stroke. Then the upper diagonal is colored from left to right.
INCANTATION:
GOOD THINGS GIVEN,
GOOD THINGS RECEIVED,
PLEASURE IN LIFE MAINTAINED.
REPRESENTATION:
The rune represents wealth and plenty, but also the
distribution of the plenty. It is a sign of hope for all those in the society,
but carries some measure of responsibility for those at its top.
NAME: Ur
NUMBER: 2

COLOR: Green

CARVED:
Ur is carved from the upper left-hand corner, where the vertical
and diagonal lines meet. it is carved along the diagonal stroke downwards and to
the right, then down to the right-hand vertical stroke. Then carve the left-hand
vertical stroke from the upper left- hand corner straight down.
COLORED:
To color the rune green, start at the bottom of the left-hand
vertical stoke. Color the stoke upwards. Then color the stoke upwards. Then
color the right hand vertical stoke downwards. Finally, color the diagonal stoke
from left down to the right.
INCANTATION:
DANGER AND FORCE,

REPRESENTATION:
This rune indicates great potential or beneficial power, but
also danger from letting forces get out of control. For example, Mithras was
admired not only for killing the bull but his heroic actions of subduing it.
This is worth noting that Mithras has often been compared with the pagan
deity, Blader

CARVED:
Thorn should be carved from the upper diagonals, which is carved
down and to the right. Then the vertical stroke is carved downwards. Then the
lower diagonal stroke is carved downwards and tfrom right to left
COLORED:
Like all three white runes, it can be colored light grey if
neccessary. It is colored by taking the vertical stroke straight down. Then
color the upper diagonal down and to the right, then the second diagonal from
right to left and down.
INCANTATION:
ALONE AM I

REPRESENTATION:
This is a rune of attack and test. It can be used to attack
an enemy and drive them insane. It can be used to test someone (including
yourself) to see if they can overcome the fears they have. The form of this fear
does not have to be the mind itself, or even be through the agency of those
particular demons. It can be any aspect of physical danger or internal fears.
For example, it is a rune that can be used to promote accidents or to make
someone careless at exactly the wrong moment. It can also be used to see if one
has the right to use the runes.

CARVED: Os by strarting with the vertical stroke and carving it downwards.
The carve the lower diagonal stroke from left to right, then the upper diagonal
from right to left.
COLORED:
To color it purple, strart with the vertical stroke and color is
upwards. Then do the lower diagonal from left to right, and then the upper
diagonal from right to left.
INCANTATION:

REPRESETATION:
This rune can be used as a general invocation of the
beneficent powers of the universe, just as the rune thorn can be used to raise
chaotic forces. This rune defends against obsession and accidents. Useful in
creative works. Inspiration for poetry, divination, speaking, an so on. Can be
adjunct in social affairs, seduction, and other things which need quick work.
NAME: Rad

ORIGIN: The Roman letter R
CARVED:
Rad is a bit more difficult. Start at the center. Carve the
diagonal up and to the right. Next carve the vertical stroke downwards. Now
start at the bottom right-hand side and carve the last stroke from the right up
and to the left so you reach the top. Now carve the last stroke from the right
up and to the left so you reach the center.
COLORED:
Rad is black, and the stroke are colored in reverse order to
their carving, both order of strokes and direction. That is, start at the top of
the rune, and color down and to the right. Then color from the center and to the
right. Then color the vertical stroke upwards. Next, color the last stroke
downwards and left along the diagonal, going from the right-hand side of the
rune to this center.
INCANTATION:

REPRESENTATION:
The rune is used for invoking the dead and, once they have
been raised, of compelling them to answer questions put to them. The rune is also
the symbol of change in self, it is a symbol of new ideas, news ways of life,
new ways of doing things.

ORIGIN: The Greek letter Kappa.
CARVE:
Ken is rather easy to carve and color. Start at the top and carve
down and to the left, then down and to the right.
COLORED:
Ken is colored yellow, start at the joint where the two diagonals
meet. Color up and to the right, then down and to the right.
INCANTATION:
I HOLD THE LIGHT (this is recite for every line carved, and colored)
REPRESENTATION:
The harnessed power of light which emerges from the darkness.
NAME: Gyfu
NUMBER: 6

COLOR: Red

CARVED:
Gyfu, rather like ken, is easy to carve and color. Start at the
upper right and carve down and to the left. Then start at the lower right and
carve the second diagonal up and to the left.
COLORED:
Gyfu is is red. Start coloring from the upper right and color
down and to the left. Then start at the upper left and color down and to the
right.

Balance. It is noted that Gyfu is a form of a cross, which
has alwyas been a symbol of sacrifice in all its forms. Every decision which is
of value encompasses a sacrifice.
NAME: Wynn
NUMBER: 8

CARVED:
To carve Wynn start from the top of the vertical stroke and carve
straight down. Then carve the upper diagonal down and to the right, and finally
the lower diagonal down and to the left so the stroke cames back to meet the
pillar again.
COLORED: Color Wynn blue, start lower diagonal down and right. Then color the
lower diagonal down and left, back to the vertical which has net been colored
in. The vertical is colored last, and this is colored from the bottom up.

REPRESENTION:
The Rune symbolizes power which is untapped, unhampered,
unharnessed. It is exuberant power, as opposed to Ken's internal strength. Wynn is
that divine power which, with a sudden thrust, forcing human beings on to their
destiny. On a higher level, the rune is wisdom.
NAME: Hoel
NUMBER: 1

COLOR: White
ORIGIN: The Greek letter Eta.
CARVED:
Hoel is carved starting with the right-hand stroke, which is
carved straight from top to bottom. Then the diagonal is carved up and to the
left. Finally, carve the left hand vertical upwards.
COLORED:
To color Hoel white or grey. Start with the diagonal and color
it down and to the right. The color the left hand vertical from bottom up and
then the right hand stroke form bottom to top.
INCANTATION:
ICE AND HAIL

REPRESENTATION:
The main thrust of the Rune, is being bound, of
frustration, of the unpleasent side of all of us. It should be remembered that
in Germanic mythology, cross-breeding between giants, gods, and humans was quite
common. There could thus be considered to be a bit of God and giant in each of
us. This Rune is the symbol of the giant in us all.
NAME: Nyd*
NUMBER: 2

Nyd is carved by starting with the vertical stroke and carving
that straght down. Then the diagonal is carved down from left to right.
COLORED:
Nyd is colored in the same direction as you carved but with the
strokes in reverse order. That is diagonal stroke is colored downwards and to the
right, and then the vertical stroke is colored from top to bottem.

REPRESENTATION:
The power of this Rune makes someone to do things that are
impossible. It is a internal power. Nyd as opposed to Ken, which is harnessed
external power, Nyd refers to that sudden rush of power that lets a person succeed
in a crisis, or the sudden rush of destiny that lets all things fall into place.
NAME: Isa*
NUMBER: 3

ORIGIN: The Greek letter Iota
CARVED:
Isa is about as easy a rune as you can hope for. Carve if from bottom up.
COLORED:
Color this rune black from top down.
INCANTATION:
MY SPEAR FLYS TRUE
REPRESENTATION:
This rune is masculinity (spear) just as a cup is the
symbol of femininity, it the symbol of authority, and of power, of command and
circumcision. In this context it carries some connotations of struggle and
strife. It is taking challenges head on and meeting them, and overcoming them.
It is in many ways the symbol of the conqueror.

To carve Ger, start at the top of the upper vertical stroke, at
the top of the rune, and carve down. Then carve the lower vertical down.
Then carve the diagonal stroke up and to the right.
COLORED:
Color Ger brown, do the diagonal stroke up and to the right.,
then the right-hand vertical stroke down. Finally, color the left-hand or upper
vertical stroke from where it joins the diagonal to the top of the rune.

REPRESENTION:
A year, The represents the annual period, this rune is a
pleasant symbol of the community and festival. The Rune us a representation of
right action leading to right results as part of the natural order of things. Ger
is a Rune of long term success through harmony with nature.
NAME: Eoh

COLOR: Green

CARVED:
Is carved from the top. First the upper diagonal is carved down
and to the right. Then the vertical is carved downwards, and then the lower
diagonal is carved down and to the right so it meets the base of the rune.
COLORED:
Start with the lower diagonal and color this up and to the left.
Then color the vertical stroke upward. Lastly color the upper diagonal down and
to the right.
INCANTATION:
THOUGH POISONOUS THE FRUIT,

REPRESENTATION:
This Rune is the embodiment of "better not to pledge than to pledge
overmuch": This is the symbol of natural and rightful restriction which makes a
good compared with Nyd. Nyd is the irresistible force, Eoh is the immovable
object.
NAME: Poerdh*
NUMBER: 6

COLOR: Red
ORIGIN: The Greek letter sigma
CARVED:
To carve poerdh, start by carving the vertical stroke straight
from top to bottom. Then, from that bottom point, the lower and inner diagonal
is carved up and to the right. Then the outer upper diagonal is carved upwards
and to the right, which will leave it sort of hanging from nothing for a moment.
Next, the outer lower diagonal is carved down and to the right. Finally, the
upper, inner diagonal is carved down and to the right so it cannects the
diagonal that's been hanging in the air.
COLORED:
The rune is colored red. Start at the upper right-hand point of
the outer and upper diagonal. This is colored inwards and downwards,heading to
the left. Follow the next daigonal up and to the left, which brings you to the
vertitical stroke. The vertical stroke is a bit like a flagple and a flag. Next
color the lower inner diagonal up and to the right. Then color the outer lower
diagonal down and to the right. In other words, when coloring this rune you
follow it straight around.

When carving Eohl, start by carving the vertical stroke straight
down. Then carve the left diagonal up and to the left, and then the right

Color the vertical stroke straight up, then there go diagonal
down and to the left. Then color the left diagonal down and to the right.

REPRESENTATION:
Used on its own it is a Rune of Protection. This Rune can be
used against the evil eye or other magical attacks, trespassers and the like.
Eohl is a Rune of protection against all hostile forces. Not necessarily evil
forces, but hostile ones.

Tyr is carved from the spearpoint. Start by carving the left-hand
diagonal down and to the left. Then carve the vertical stroke downwards.
Finally, carve the second diagonal down and to the right.

the left-hand diagonal down and to the left. Then color the right-hand diagonal
down and to the right.

REPRESENTATION:
Tyr is protection physical danger with some elements of
protection fROm the magical. Symbol of divine justice and honor of war or duel.
It is a symbol of strength of purpose, of the power of will, and of the drive to
higher purpose. On a more immediate level, it is victory, courage, the power to
attack. It is a weapon against enemies by making oneself stronger.

CARVED:
Start with the uppermost diagonal and carve down and to the right.
Then carve the third from the top from where it meets the center of the vertical
stroke; carve it down and to the right. Next carve that vertical stroke
upwards. Next, carve the lowermost diagonal up from the base of the vertical.
Then lastly the diagonal from the center of the vertical stroke. This will be
carved up and to the right, and complete the rune.
COLORED:
Start by doing the vertical stroke from bottom to top. Then
color the lowermost diagonal up and to the right. Then color the second
lowermost diagonal, the one second from the top, down and to the right. in this
way you've colored the diagonals from bottom to top.

Carve the left diagonal and to the right first, then the right
diagonal up and to the right. Then carve the left vertical straight down, then

vertical straight down. then color the right diagonal from right to left
downwards, then the left diagonal from left to right, also going downwards

REPRESENTATION: The rune is the call for divine aid in times of trial and a
gathering of the bonds of friendship. This is a conscuous request adn a
consciuos grant of external and often divine aid. A charm against trouble. Ewhis
has certain ecological and ethical limitations. It is a Rune of difence, not of
attack.

To carve manu, carve the vertical stroke first. Start with the
left one, then the right one. Both are carved from bottom to top. then carve the

and to the left. Next do the vertical strokes, coloring the left one upwards and
the right one downwards.

Lagu is carved by cutting the vertical stroke downwards, then the
diagonal stroke downwards and to the right.
COLORING: First the vertical stroke is colored upwards, then the diagonal
is colored downwards and to hte right.
INCANTATION:
LIFE GROWS,
LIFE GOES ON.
REPRESENTATION:
Water and the sea, and its image of a wave against the
shore. The Rune has meanings of life-sustaining water, the oath of beer drinking
or companionship, and death. It is basically a Rune of transition from one state
to another. From life to death, from indiviual to member of a group, and birth.
This Rune is often placed next to the Rune that represents human beings.

CARVED:
Is carved by cutting the two right-hand strokes first. Start at
the top and carve downwards and to thr right, then downwards and to the left.
Then carve the two left-hand strokes, carving the upper diagonal down and to the
left, then the lower stroke down and to the right.
COLORED:
Color the left-hand side first. Color the top left-hand diagonal
down and to the left, then the lower diagonal down and to the right. Then color
the two right-hand diagonals the same way. Color the top one down and to the
right, then the lower one donw and to the left.

REPRESENTATION:
People. The importance of the communtiy. It can be used
as a Rune of fascination to draw people or make them do what you want. It can be
to establish mutual dedication and loyalty.
NAME: Odel
NUMBER: 7

COLOR: Brown
ORIGIN: Unknown
CARVED:
To carve this Rune start with the lower most left-hand point and
carve the diagonal up and to the right. Then cross over to the joint on the
left-hand side and carve the lower diagonal down and to the right. You should
now have a "X" rather like Gyfu. Next, go to the topmost point and carve the
upper diagonal down and to the right. Then carve the last diagonal down and to
the left.
COLORED:
Start at the same lowermost left-hand point and color the
diagonals up and to the right, then turn the joint and color the upper diagonal
up and to the left so you reach the apex of the rune. Then, from the lower most
right-hand point, color the diagonal up and to the left, then color the upper
diagonal up and to the right to complete the Rune.

This Rune refers to inherited property, goods, name, or
traits. This Rune is used to call on ancestral power, or to call up the doubles
of the ancestors, themselves. It can be used to develop strengths and talents,
including latent talents. It can be used to guard family fortunes and aid in
building a dynasty.

Carve Doerg by starting with the left vertical stroke. Carve this
downwards. Then carve the diagonal up and to the right, followed by the
right-hand vertical stroke being carved downwards. Finally, the second diagonal
is carved down and to the right.
COLORED:
To color this Rune, start at the top left and color the
vertical downwards. Then color the right vertical stroke downwards. Next, from
the top left of the left vertical stroke, color the diagonal down and to the
right. Then color the second diagonal upwards and to the right.
INCANTATION:
Nothing is said, keep a clear mind. Silence of mind.
REPRESENTATION:
Day, the light of Day, and the power of light and goodness.
It the promise of the final banishment of darkness, in each of us. Doerg is a
good luck charm. Used to increase one's station in life. It can be used to
stumulate of spiritual growth, and understanding. It can be an expression of the
universal love.
The * symbol next to a name of a Rune mean that either there are two
incantations for the rune to be said while you carve or color it or that the one
incantation is to be said while you carve or color.
