As Pagans and Wiccans we all try to do what we can individually and as a group to help others in our communities. This may be done by providing funds or participating in fund-raising activities, providing needed food and/or supplies to local animal and women's shelters, food banks, hospitals, and elderly services. We volunteer our time, money and energies to various charities and causes that are near and dear to us, for what ever reason. As our religious-spiritual pathway continues to grow in numbers, more groups will be formed and more individuals will be assisting those people, animals, and environmental causes that are in need of help and our support.
As webmistress of MoonDragon.org and matriarch of my own group, Clan of the MoonDragon, I assist local military veterans groups and services by donating webspace to their groups and website maintenance, setting up donation services for their groups via their websites and providing spiritual counseling and support for Pagan/Wiccan veterans returning home after their service in the military. Clan of the MoonDragon also does fund-raising for various local and national charities and donates supplies to local veterans hospitals and provides volunteer services to local veteran organizations. This is a part of the Clan of the MoonDragon's community service support plan.
I encourage everyone to get out there and support your community by whatever means you are able to do. Let's bring our spiritual pathway out of the broomcloset and become active members who are visible and willing to provide service.
If you have a Pagan-Wiccan group or charity that you would like listed here, email me and let me know and I will add you to the list.

Book Of Shadows Blessing
![]()
Often a Book of Shadows begins with a book blessing.
This poem is adapted from Silver Ravenwolf's "To Stir a Magick Cauldron"
reminds us of who we are and why we keep this book.
I will serve the Great Goddess
And give reverence to the Great God
I am a Pagan Witch
A stone in the ancient circle
Standing firmly
Balanced on the earth
Yet open to the winds of heaven
And enduring through time
May the old gods witness my words
Blessed be.
