Bach Flower Remedy Information:
The Bach® Flower Remedies are 38 plant and flower based remedies, each one specially devised to treat a different feeling.
They help you to manage the emotional demands of everyday life, the kind of feelings that affect everyday life in the 90s. They are the original flower remedies made according to the exact homeopathic traditions of Dr. Edward Bach.
The Bach Flower Remedies work by stimulating the body’s own capacity to heal itself, by balancing negative feelings, helping you to take control, feel good about yourself, and get more out of life. The Bach Flower Remedies are unique, simple to use, suitable for the entire family.
Development of Bach Flower Remedies:
The Bach Flower Remedies were created by a Harley Street doctor, Edward Bach, in the 1930s. His Philosophy, " A healthy mind ensures a healthy body", was ahead of it’s time when you consider that today more and more medical experts are acknowledging the links between our mental and physical health.
Dr. Bach devised a system of seven major emotional groups under which people could be classified, such as Fear, Uncertainty or Loneliness. He categorized 38 negative states of mind under these groups. Then using his knowledge of homoeopathy, Dr. Bach formulated a plant or flower based remedy to treat each of these emotional states – these are the unique Bach Flower Remedies.
The Dr. Edward Bach Centre, Mount Vernon, Oxfordshire was where Dr. Bach lived and worked and discovered his healing flowers in the surrounding fields and hedgerows. These same flower locations are still used in the preparation of the Bach Flower Remedies by the present custodians, who are dedicated to maintaining the method and use of the Remedies as intended by Dr. Bach. It also acts as the education and training centre on the Bach Flower Remedies.

Questions and Answers about Bach Flower Remedies
Q. What happens if I take the wrong Bach Remedy?
A. The indications given are common emotional responses to life situations. Bach discovered that these emotional responses predispose physical disorder because of their impact upon your nervous system. This emotional response impacts upon our nervous system and begins to relay out to every organ in our body. The emotional response in and of itself is purely a form of energy. This energy form creates a negative blueprint and the corresponding flower Remedy has a positive vibrational blueprint. Therefore it will bring that energy form back to balance. Therefore, taking a wrong remedy means it has no blue print to reference with and it will have no effect at all.
Q. Must I take Bach Remedies forever?
A. No. It may take some time to get beyond all your problems, but you will reach a point where you begin to feel at peace with yourself. You will naturally begin to discontinue their use.
However, situations may arise that temporarily destabilize you. At those times you will take the Remedies and you will find that because it is no longer a deep-seated issue, that the Remedies will restore balance very quickly.
Q. How long can I expect to use Bach Remedies?
A. For acute problems, they should be taken as needed for a period of time which typically won't exceed four or five days.
If you are experiencing trauma you can take two drops every five minutes for twenty minutes to an hour. Until you begin to feel stable, then you continue the standard dose of four drops, four times per day.
For long-term problems, you will find a range approximating one month for every year of your life you have experienced this problem. However, they act as a support throughout the time you take them. It may be sometime before you can say you have completely gotten beyond this problem.
Keep in mind that psychotherapy, yoga, biofeedback or other techniques for releasing stress would speed up this process.
Q. What will I feel after taking Bach Remedies?
A. There are no physical sensations that are associated with the Remedies. What you will sense -- sometimes immediately -- other times within a few days --- is a feeling of mental calmness, hope and finally a sense of peace within yourself.
