MoonDragon Birthing Services uses informed consent with their clients. Informed consent consists of these three parts:
1. Full Disclosure of practice; experience, education, philosophy, peer review process and grievance process; services proviced, and legal status in the state of practice.We also inform our clients that they have the right to choose or deny any procedure or treatment suggested by their midwife or health care provider after they have received information about the pros and cons of any procedure or treatment. We fully encourage the clients to write up a birth plan and we will support and attempt to follow the birth plan as closely as possible.
2. Full disclosure of all the risks and benefits of home birth, as well as those of hospital and birth center birth.
3. Detailed description of procedures and treatments, including risks, benefits, and alternatives.

We are an Equal Opportunity Service. Our services are available to all healthy, low-risk women and their babies regardless of religion, race, alternative lifestyles, ethnic origin or financial ability to pay for rendered services.We support the efforts of the Massachusetts Midwives Alliance (MMA), Massachusetts Friends of Midwives (MFOM), and the Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA). We also support the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations for midwife-based maternity care.
We have client appointments scheduled for weekend and evening visits (in your home, if desired) as a service to working mothers and their families.
