Desiccated liver is a concentrated form of dried liver, which is extracted from beef liver. CAUTIONS
Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or plan pregnancy in the near future, do not use unless advised by your midwife or health care provider during pregnancy. There are no proven problems in pregnant women taking small or usual amounts, however the chance of problems do exist.
Desiccated liver supplements are not recommended for young children.
People with sickle cell anemia, thalassemia, hemochromatosis, and sideoblastic anemia should not used desiccated liver supplements.
People with chronic liver failure should consult with their health care providers before taking liver supplements.
People who receive constant blood transfusions should avoid it. People who suffer from iron deficiency anemia should not use a liver supplement as a replacement for iron deficiency treatment.
Consult your health care provider if you take any medicinal drugs or herbs including aspirin, laxatives, cold and cough remedies, antacids, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, supplements, other prescription or non-prescription drugs before using a liver supplement. Liver supplements are contraindicated in persons who are hypersensitive to any component of a liver supplement.
