Medicinal TherapiesNo matter what the healing method, people in every part of the world take medicine, and all cultures have a tradition that attributes therapeutic powers to particular plants, minerals, and parts of animals.
Complementary therapies have their roots in such traditional systems, in which the cause of illness is commonly attributed to an imbalance within an individual or to the influence of external factors.
